Music Revival proudly presents the award-winning guitarist James Grace in Ballito at the All-Souls Anglican Church in Salt Rock, Ballito on Sunday January 14 at 15h00.

Widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most prolific and versatile musicians, James Grace maintains a schedule that often takes him throughout Southern Africa, Europe and the UAE. 

Appearing at every major National Arts Festival in both solo performances and in collaboration with a variety of artists, Grace has attracted a diverse and popular following through his innovative presentation and programming, featuring a broad and eclectic musical flavour. 


Accolades include the KANNA Award for Best Male Artist at the 2010 Klein Karoo National Arts Festival and the KykNet Fiesta Award for Best Solo Production in 2011. His seventh solo guitar studio album Andaluza – Music of Spain III, won the SAMA (South African Music Award) for Best Instrumental Album 2019.

Upon graduating from the Royal College of Music in London, Grace became the first guitarist in the history of the College to receive the Tagore Gold Medal, an annual award presented to the most outstanding student.

Grace is currently based in Cape Town, where in addition to his performing and recording activities, he lectures and directs the guitar programme at the University of Cape Town’s College of Music.
