DAYS LIKE THIS


Rhumbelow Theatre will present Days Like This - a tribute to Van Morrison, on August 10 at 19h30 and August 11 at 14h00. The venue opens 90 minutes before the show.

Days Like This is performed by The Black Lapels - Rob Warren, Garth Warren , Gareth Gale, Colin Peddie and Tory Du Plessis.

Prepare to be transported on a soulful journey as Black Lapels grace the stage once again, this time paying homage to the legendary Van Morrison. 

With their latest offering, this talented five-piece band delivers an unforgettable tribute, breathing new life into Morrison's timeless classics. Led by the captivating vocals and masterful guitar work of Rob Warren, supported by the rhythmic groove of Garth Warren on bass and Gareth Gale on drums, the band sets the stage on fire with their electrifying performances.

At the heart of the ensemble, Tory du Plessis mesmerises on piano while lending her enchanting backing vocals, adding depth and richness to every melody. Colin Peddie's skilful keys weave through the arrangements, providing the perfect complement to Morrison's iconic sound. Together, these accomplished musicians capture the essence of Morrison's music, from the infectious energy of Brown Eyed Girl to the ethereal magic of Moondance, ensuring an evening filled with soul-stirring nostalgia and musical brilliance. With each note and every lyric, Black Lapels honour the legacy of Van Morrison, leaving audiences spellbound and longing for more."
