(Eyes of the Seraph-Guarding Fragility by Bianca-Doman)
The KZNSA Gallery will host the exhibition Beyond the surface, a group exhibition by Durban UNISA Visual Multimedia Arts graduates, on Tuesday October 15 from 17h30.
Beyond the surface showcases a dynamic blend of storytelling, identity exploration, and social reflection in the final bodies of work by third- and fourth-year UNISA students.
Each artist invites viewers into intimate worlds of self-discovery, where issues such as gender roles, identity, societal expectations, and human emotion are laid bare.
Themes of inclusion, diversity, and introspection are vividly brought to life, blurring the boundaries between reality and fantasy, personal and political, and individual and community.
The curator and the artists will lead a walkabout on Saturday October 19 from 11h00 to 12h30.
The KZNSA Gallery is situated at 166 Bulwer Road, Glenwood, in Durban. More information on 031 277 1705 or cell 082 220 0368 or visit www.kznsagallery.co.za
