BUZZART is KZNSA’s annual Christmas Fair, where the KZNSA shop takes
over the entire gallery, filling the Main, Mezzanine and Park Galleries with
incredible local finds. BUZZART carries art, homeware, textiles, fashion and
accessories, jewellery, local art books, stationery and cosmetics, plus a huge
range of Christmas décor and stocking fillers - all produced in KZN or Southern
Africa by independent makers.
The theme this year is SISONKE
For BUZZART24, the KZNSA embraces connectedness and solidarity.
We are more
together.
Bringing creative ideas to life can be a lonely exercise but at some point, people want to share what they’ve made with the world. Through SISONKE the KZNSA offers a platform where creatives feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable, and share their creations within a network of fellow creators and enthusiasts who value their work. There is no idea that is better than the other, no medium more important than the other – we are all in this together.
MEMBERS’ GROUP SHOW | SISONKE
The KZNSA invites Members to submit artworks for a November 15 2024 - January 12, 2025 group exhibition running adjacent to BUZZART
This year the KZNSA will cater to new and budget collectors, inviting work that sells in categories of R5,000 and less, and between R5,000 - R10,000. Works may be in any medium, any date, and members can submit as many works as they wish during the course of BUZZART. There is a size limit of 1m in any dimension.
Please note that the KZNSA Gallery will not be able to consign work that is dirty, broken, does not have hanging fixtures or expresses discrimination.
DATES
SISONKE runs from 15 November 2024 – 12 January 2025
Opening night: Friday 15 November 2024
Deliveries: 5-10 November. Top-up deliveries are welcome throughout the
exhibition but work for the opening must be delivered to the gallery by 10
November.
Call Out For New
Suppliers For KZNSA Buzzart24
As the KZNSA’s focus is on growing the local economy, and providing
income opportunities to local creatives, they are inviting new makers and
artists to submit their work, offering a free 9-week retail platform to get
product to market. The gallery is looking for interesting, unusual, innovative
locally designed and manufactured products, ranges or art pieces. Work does not
have to fit the theme.
Please deliver your stock to the KZNSA along with a delivery note
between November 5-10 2024.
