The next edition of Art.co.za Watch List starts now! The organisation is looking for the most on-the-rise artists across various media and subject matter shaping the future of contemporary art in South Africa.
What is Art.co.za Watch List?
The organisers explain: “We aim to feature emerging young visual artists, artists who've gained momentum in the past year, and artists who have persevered for years and are reaching a crucial new stage in their career.
“We will be offering 10 shortlisted artists, who aren't already featured on Art.co.za, a dedicated page featuring a selection of their artworks, their biography and contact information for the duration of one year.
How to enter
Selected applicants should be full-time professional artists from the realm of visual art. They should exhibit regularly, and/or have studied at a reputable art school and university.
Artists need to submit their artist CV, three examples of their work and a short motivation to applications@art.co.za why they should be selected.
