Verna Vels’ beloved Liewe Heksie, which incidentally celebrates her birthday on 42 April (yes, 42!), sneaks into the hearts of children generation after generation.
She sometimes struggles with long words, but luckily Blommie the gnome and her beloved Mattewis, the cat is always close by to help.
Before interval, Liewe Heksie en
Botterblom are performed.
Botterblom is Blommeland’s cow, providing milk to all of Blommeland, but Botterblom is angry! Karring, Blommeland’s milk gnome, does not let anyone near Botterblom, and Botterblom becomes very lonely.
Then the puppets (or is it cows?) start to dance.
After interval, it’s Liewe Heksie en die Tuindwergie, where we meet Casper the garden gnome.
One day, when Casper wakes up in Liewe Heksie’s garden, there’s drama from start to finish. Because who is that behind that tree? Could it be a naughty Poison Apple? The kids need to find out at the Umfolozi Casino in Empangeni.
Ana van Achterbergh plays the role of Liewe Heksie, Botha Enslin takes on the roles of Mattewis, Kwaaitjie, Geelheks, Borrie, Griet, Karel Kat, and Koning Rosekrans. Elizma Byleveldt is seen as Blommie and Kerrie. Phillru van Achterbergh portrays, among others, Casper, die Tuindwergie, Gifappel and Kwaai Baba.
Groet Die Grotman 2 continues to explore the differences between men and women. It’s twenty years later. Grotman and Elize are still happily married… or are they? The kids are teenagers with their unique challenges. Grotman has traded his smoke signals for WhatsApp messages, emails, iPhones, Facebook, Twitter, and online concerts. The differences between men and women are still there, because men are from Mars and women from Venus.
In Groet die Grotman 2, the differences between men and women are comically depicted by Grotman, played by Phillru van Achterbergh.
Frans Swart wrote the script and also directed Groet Die Grotman 2
Bookings for both Liewe
Heksie and/or Groet die Grotman 2
can be made at www.LTickets.co.za or 011 815 3000.
