Officially opening on First Thursday, December 5, 2024, The Gallery in Ballito presents a new exhibition titled Unwrapped, an art exhibition Celebrating the Spirit of Giving
This festive season, The Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening of Unwrapped, a captivating art exhibition that promises to be a heartfelt experience that explores the gifts we give or unwrap for each other and the world.
Set in the newly-renovated Gallery space, Unwrapped features a diverse collection of artworks from top local artists, each piece thoughtfully curated to evoke the joy and intimacy of giving and receiving.

The exhibition aims to foster a sense of community and gratitude during
a season that emphasizes togetherness and kindness.
“Art has an incredible power to connect and change us, if we allow it,” says Sarah O’Reilly, the exhibition curator.
“With Unwrapped, we want to encourage viewers to reflect on the gifts we give and receive, both tangible and intangible. This exhibition serves as a reminder of the beauty in sharing our stories, our kindness, and our creativity.

The exhibition will showcase a range of artistic expressions, from
paintings and sculptures to printmaking and mixed media. Each artwork is
intended to spark conversations about the impact of our gifts, how they shape
our relationships, and how they influence our perceptions of the world around
us.
In addition to the exhibition, The Gallery will host a series of engaging events throughout the season, including artist talks and workshops, creating opportunities for visitors to delve deeper into the themes of the exhibition and connect with one another.

The exhibition will run from December 5, 2024, to February 2, 2025. Do
not miss out on our First Thursday event at The Studios. Join us at 18h00 on
Thursday, December 5, 2024, for a night of live music by Quiet Storm paired
with a curated MCC tasting by Lifestyle Tops. Thai fare from Soi 55, delicious
pizzas from Tiger's Milk, flavours of India from The Curry Bar, nougat sampling
from Wedgewood, and drinks from Alchemy Bar will also be available to add to an
exciting night out.
The Gallery is situated within The Studios, opposite Weylandts at Ballito Lifestyle Centre.
Daily opening hours are 09h00 until 17h00 seven days a week.
Extended trading hours from December 12 to January 4 – 08h00 until 19h00
seven days a week.
