Bongani Tembe, Chief Executive and Artistic Director of the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, offers the latest news for the KZNPO.

“The KZN Philharmonic remains steadfast in our drive to introduce classical music to the diverse audiences of this great province, and to provide performance opportunities for the talented young musicians that call it home.

“For us, performing is a profound passion, and education is our lifelong calling. To this end, we are happy to share details of our concert next Saturday (July 25 at 12h00) at Ashton College Ballito as part of their annual Arts Festival Programme.

“For this year's concert - United in Harmony - gifted soloists and a massed choir from Ashton will take to the stage alongside the KZN Philharmonic for a performance that bridges generations through the universal language of music. Tickets for this collaborative concert, commencing at 12h00, are available on Quicket.

“The Festival offers shows, workshops, exhibitions, a market, and a variety of fun & games, on Saturday July 25, 2026, from 08h30 -16h00. Entrance to the rest of the Festival is free, so why not make a day of it!
