AUDITIONS FOR TO HOUSE

The Playhouse Company will audition actors to perform in its forthcoming drama production To Housewritten by Ashwin Singh, to be staged at the Playhouse in Durban in September 2006. The play revolves around the conflicts and connections between five diverse characters living in a typical sectional titles development in a middle class Durban suburb.

Characters to be cast include Jason, a White former businessman (early 40’s); Sibusiso, a Black law lecturer (late 20’s); Sanjay, an Indian law lecturer (early 30’s); Kajol, Sibusiso’s live-in girlfriend, an Indian marketing officer (mid 20’s); and Deena, Kajol’s uncle, a successful Indian entrepreneur (early 50s).

Full time professional actors who are interested in auditioning must prepare a two-minute modern monologue. They will be required to arrive with a photograph and CV listing all performing arts achievements.
