The Comedy Revolution Tour, billed as “Geographically Africa’s longest, most cutting edge stand-up tour”, runs from July 10 to 20 at the Catalina Theatre featuring three international acts and six of South Africa’s finest comedians.
The international acts featured include Glen Bo, recent nominee in the KZN Arts Awards in the “Best Comedian”category who runs comedy shows and clubs in KZN after years abroad touring. Cape based Martin Evans, winner of numerous new-act awards in the UK, is also very well travelled and promotes various comedy clubs and shows. Out from the UK, Martin Davis is a stand-up veteran and a legend abroad. Six other acts in the show rotate on the bills. These comedians are joined by the cream of the crop and cutting edge new acts from around RSA, namely, Brendan Murry (CT), Marty Kintu (JHB): Simmi Areff (KZN), Lil Paul (KZN) and Jan Badenhorst (KZN).
The Comedy Revolution Tour runs at Catalina Theatre, Wilson’s Wharf from July 10 to 20. Tickets R80 (R40 scholars and pensioners) for performances Tuesday to Saturday at 20h00 (Sundays at 18h00).
