“It is Lotusfm’s particular honour to be involved in the Durban Diwali Festival 2008, as the station celebrates 25 years in broadcasting this year,” says Gail Samuels, Lotusfm station manager. “We are excited at being able to ‘Share the Lotusfm Experience’ with all visitors to the Durban Diwali Festival 2008 and we’ll be ‘pulling out all the stops’ to make this year’s event, something really memorable.”

Lotusfm has a full programme of fun and entertainment planned for the weekend. From floats, to fireworks, live broadcasts, to the famous Lotusfm Family Bhangra. Team Lotusfm will entertain from sunrise to sunset, for the whole weekend, starting bright and early on October 24 with the popular breakfast host O’Neil’s morning show from 07h00 to10h00.

An early start is on the cards for October 25 for those who want to see the magnificent Durban Diwali Festival float procession as it winds its way from the bottom of Grey Street towards the Pavilion site at North beach, starting at 07h30. All the favourite Lotusfm DJ’s will be there, followed by a fireworks display which will precede the Bhangra and set the scene for the rest of the evening’s entertainment.
