THE KING AND QUEEN

Right royal tribute to Elvis Presley and Freddy Mercury returns to Heritage.

A right royal tribute to the music of Elvis Presley and Freddy Mercury, The King and Queen played to record houses last year and is brought back to this classy supper theatre due to popular demand.

Featuring party classics such as Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, Heartbreak Hotel, Blue Suede Shoes and Teddy Bear from Elvis and rousing crowd pleasers such as We Will Rock You, Killer Queen, Another One Bites The Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody, Tie Your Mother Down and We Are the Champions from Queen, you’ll definitely be “all shook up!”

With comical reference to the mischief of the British Royals and chart-topping hits from two of the planet’s greatest artists, the show is guaranteed to get you into the party spirit.

The King and Queen features the hilarious John Didlick (of Gee Jays fame) and his “drop-dead gorgeous” songbird son, Jonothan, as well as Durban actress and singer Marion Loudon.

They are backed by Durban’s finest musicians, and Heritage regulars, Dawn Selby (keyboards), Barry Thomson (guitar), Mali Sewell (drums) and Mark Freel (bass).

The King and Queen runs at The heritage Theatre in Hillcrest from October 7 to November 9. Tickets R185 pp Wednesday to Saturday at 19h00 for a two-course meal and show (R160 on Tuesday nights and Sunday lunchtimes) A separate dessert menu is available.
