James Parker to launch fictional biography of Professor Elizabeth Sneddon.

Professor Elizabeth Sneddon touched the lives of thousands of Durban drama lovers, from children doing their first eisteddfodds to seasoned actors and theatregoers.

In his new fictional biography, Drama Queen due to be launched shortly, James Parker offers a delightful and inspiring account of her whole life – a love story in which the love of her cause took precedence over romantic love.

Her passion for literature, speech and drama took Elizabeth Sneddon from Durban to study in Scotland, led her to establish the Department of Speech and Drama at the University of KZN, and kept her at the centre of the Durban drama world for many years. Drama Queen is filled with the colourful characters of yesteryear each of whom influenced her in subtle ways and the many incidents give insight into Durban’s past.
