Successful performance and much-needed sponsorship for KZN Youth Orchestra .

The KZN Youth Orchestra ended an eventful year with a successful gala performance held at their patron school, St Mary's DSG, in Kloof. They were joined by the St Mary's Senior school Orchestra and the Northwood Brass Band. They enthralled the crowd with their skills as they have improved so much during the year, under the baton of well-known Lyk Temmingh.

The youth orchestra was chosen from 400 applications for a grant of R78,800 from Imagine Durban (funded by Canada), as well as a R40,000 sponsorship for their new uniforms from eValuation. The orchestra is also sponsored by Lotto and have bought a mini-bus to assist with their social development into the community.

Orchestra Leader Jane Baillie has been selected to play in the new show at the Barnyard called Rockin all over the World.

The KZN Youth Orchestra is billed to perform in a Christmas Carols Concert at Hillcrest Christian Fellowship on December 12. More information from Warren Morck on 082 374 3259.
