The magic of Christmas at uShaka Marine World
Santa will be joined by a host of pixies, angels, fairies and sleek sea creatures as uShaka Marine World presents Dolphins by Starlight – The Magic of Christmas brought to you by Department of Community Safety and Liaison and takes place from December 11 to 13.
Lovable Durban theatre personality Frank Graham as Santa Claus leads the cast of local stars including Chloe Perling (Sugarplum Fairy), uShaka favourites Clive Gumede, Khaya Mthethwa and the boys from the hit show Tequila Sunrise - Jonothan Didlick, Cavin Sewell, Lyle Buxton and Bradley Marshall.
Also on the star-studded bill are Frances Currie (last seen in the Wizard of Oz), the Galadriel Celtic singing group, the Pantsula Pixies and the Williams-Ros choir featured as a human Christmas tree. Centre stage, of course, will go to uShaka’s talented dolphins who promise to add their special splash to the family show. And watch out for “old-timer” Gambit who will make a special guest appearance.
The sparkling programme is produced by Wayne Scott and directed by Charon Williams-Ros. Made possible by The Department of Community, Safety & Liaison, it includes festive songs such as Santa Claus is Coming to Town, This Christmas, Believe and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and a host of all-time favourite Christmas carols. Musical direction is by Shemuel Mahabeer.
