LAUGH FOR LIFE

Heal yourself, heal others with fun show from Dingaling Productions.

Lotus FM’s weekday Drive Show, On the Road with Rakesh, in 2007 aligned itself with the United Nations World Food Program in a national hunger campaign that saw 40,000 hungry children in Southern Africa receiving urgent food aid.

The fight against hunger continues in 2008, and is now being supported by the Dingaling Production Company, which is renowned for their sell-out comedy shows.

The Dingaling Production Company and Lotus FM is to present Laugh for Life, an entertaining and hilarious event which includes an exciting line up of favourite comedians performing skits and stand-up comedy. As always, the show promises irresistible laughter and enjoyment, all for a higher cause, to assist the United Nations World Food Program provide food to children facing severe food shortages.

Laugh for Life features the inimitable cast of the successful adult comedy, Chops, Choons and Spano Dops and Four Dingalings and a Ding fame. Koobeshan Naidoo, Kumseela Naidoo, Henry Ramkissoon, Senzo Mthethwa and Pranesh Maharaj have teamed up with stage veteran Bassy Bhola, who was last seen in Lahnee’s Pleasure. The show also features Richlieu of the laughing Stock comedy circuit, China Ngejane who is currently performing in Cassandra at No 77 and a new talent on the comedy circuit, Verushka Achary.

Laugh for Life promises to be a unique comedy show, wherein audiences will get an opportunity to pick on the comedians as they are challenged to create comedy out of directions from the audience. The underlying theme of the performances is that Laughter is a powerful healing force in all our lives. Modern day stresses keeps us out of sync of our true nature. We complain and stress and cry so much more than we laugh.

Laugh for Life runs at Sibaya Casino’s iZulu Theatre on December 3 and 4 and at the Golden Horse Casino in Pietermaritzburg on December 14 and 15. Tickets on sale at B. Nagiahs (Phoenix, Chatsworth Centre, Bayview, Merebank branches), Memsaabs (Pavillion and Gateway Branches) for R80 and from Golden Horse Casino for R100.
