Lively and energetic musical based on the colourful works of Dr Seuss for Durban Girls’ College.
Seussical is a lively and energetic musical based on the colourful works of Dr Seuss. With music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, the show was co-conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Eric Idle, and premiered on Broadway in the United States.
Durban Girls’ College is proud to present the South African premiere of the amateur production of Seussical headed by a vibrant professional and talented production team: Wendy Watson (currently the senior Dramatic Arts teacher at DGC) is Director, Debbie Hosking (Head of the Music Dept at DGC) is Musical Director, Kenlynn Sutherland is Choreographer and Costume Designer, and none other than award-winning Set Designer Greg King is creating exciting and vibrant sets.
“It’s a wonderful show for all ages- from children of five to adults of 95 so it’s for the whole family!” says Wendy Watson.
Seussical runs from March 24 to 27 in the Centenary Hall at Durban Girls’ College.
