Popular Kerimov Trio to step in at last minute for Friends of Music concert on May 19.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Friends of Music have had to change the programme for their recital on May 19. The concert will now feature the highly acclaimed Kerimov Trio: Boris Kerimov (cello), Christopher Duigan (piano) and Elena Kerimova (violin).
They will perform Mozart’s Trio in C major K.548 as well as Bach/Gounod’s Ave Maria; Schubert’s Ave Maria and Caccini’s Ave Maria. Other works to be heard are Albinoni’s Adagio in G minor; Piazzolla’s Escolaso, Bruch’s Kol Nidrei and Beethoven’s Trio in E flat major Op.70 No 2.
The Prelude Performer will be tenor Lukhanyo Moyake.
The recital will take place on May 19 at 19h45 at the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 Old Fort Road. Tickets R70 (R60 FOM members and R20 students/orchestral members). There is safe parking.
