Top SA R&B artist to appear for the first time at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake Concert.
Top South African R&B artist Loyiso is appearing for the first time at the Old Mutual Music at the Lake concert series on May 31. Old Mutual and East Coast Radio, Durban’s No 1 invite audiences to come and support one of South Africa’s icons in music and fashion.
Loyiso Bala is highly respected as one of South Africa’s multi-faceted R&B artists. He has a huge fan base which is growing daily within the African continent. In recognition of his outstanding ability, he has won numerous awards including five SAMA Awards. He will be singing his newest and most popular material at his debut appearance in the Gardens. Singles from his current album I want you, Blow your Mind, Take me Back and Dali Wami were simultaneously all on the Top 100 radio charts in South Africa late last year.
Loyiso is not only a highly talented a singer/songwriter he also enjoys huge popularity in many fields of entertainment.
The Pixie Bennett Band will appear as the guest artists who will open the concert. Pixie Bennett’s participation in the recent Idols competition has helped to expand her band growing fan base which has been part of the Durban music scene for several years.
The concert area gates open at 12h30. Take along picnics, fans, family and friends and enjoy a relaxing afternoon picnicking at the lake area in the Gardens. Children are always welcome in the designated Kids Zone area providing parents with the opportunity to relax while their children are entertained and kept busy during the concert.
The Old Mutual Music at the Lake concert takes place at 14h30 on May 31. Tickets R100 (R50 children aged from six to 12) booked through Computicket outlets or on 083 915 8000 as well as from the Info Centre in the Durban Botanic Gardens on 031-3091170 (open seven days /week)
Secure parking is available on the Juventus ground off lower St Thomas Road, adjacent to the Botanic Gardens and the Munies Hockey Field off lower Sydenham Road.
