VERSUS BACKYARD CONCERT AT CRUSADERS

Great live music and a fun day for the family at Northwood Crusaders Sports Club in Durban North.

The second Versus Backyard Concert will be held at the Northwood Crusaders Sports Club in Durban North on June 27 and once again promises a showcase of great live music and a fun day out for the whole family.

The line-up includes Ocean Drive, Zoe & Somebody’s Child, Celtis and Dr Fly and the Nurses, followed by the live screening of the South Africa vs British Lions test match at 15h00. Thereafter the music continues with guitar maestro Barry Thomson, The Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters, Shannon Hope and Habit To, who take to the stage at 21h00.

The event starts at 12 noon. Tickets R80 (R20 children under 12) can be purchased in advance at Crusaders, as well as at the door on the day.

The concert will be held in a giant marquee and food and drinks will be on sale. No picnic baskets, refreshments or alcohol will be allowed in but patrons are welcome to bring their own blankets and fold-up chairs.

Voted the top sports club in KwaZulu-Natal for three consecutive years, the Northwood Crusaders Sports Club is situated at 10 Ranleigh Crescent in Durban North (opposite the Fairway Engen garage at the bottom of Swapo Road/Broadway) and has plenty of secure parking.

“These concerts are a great way to bring people together to enjoy live music in a really pleasant environment,” says event organiser, Pedro Carlo of C-Weed Entertainment Promotions. “The idea is to make a fun family day out of it, while raising funds for Crusaders to help develop sport in the community.”
