Bollywood superstar to perform in Durban and Johannesburg.
Golden Productions in association with Golden Jewellers proudly presents “The Desi Girl”, Sunidhi Chauhan, live in concert on July 17 in Durban and Johannesburg on July 17 and 18.
She has won the world over with her feet-tapping and sensational performances in over 500 Bollywood movies, singing over 2,000 songs. Her International accolades run from best female playback singer for IIFA, Stardust, Filmfare and more – but most importantly, she was chosen as number one in South Africa by the South African fans.
Her popularity has led her to the Bollywood equivalent status of Beyoncé, Celine Dion and Mariah Carrey. Her star status had Disney knocking at her door for the Hindi dubbed version of High School Musical for Gabriella. Now she will hit South African shores accompanied by a highly talented Bollywood line-up. This is an authentic International Bollywood concert straight from Mumbai India.
Sunidhi Chauhan will perform a list of her super hit songs, accompanied by fellow performers, legendary Kishore Kumar’s son Sumeet Kumar. A talented performer who has recently sung the hit Bachena ae Haseeno, Mohammed Rafi impersonario Ayub Patel, actor, comedian and mimicry Ravi Raj and South African actress Yarisha.
This Bollywood concert has something for everyone in the family, from mind-blowing songs from Sunidhi Chauhan, be serenaded by Junior Kishore Kumar - Sumeet Kumar reliving his father’s tunes, to Mohammed Rafi hits from Ayub Patel. Not to forget the comedy and impersonating of actor Ravi Raj and the Bollywood Dance spectacular by local actress Yarisha - choreographed and trained in India.
The concert will take place at 19h00 on July 17 at the ICC Arena, after which there will be another performance on July 18 at Carnival City in Johannesburg.
