The Rainbow Restaurant and Jazz Club will host the Bheki Khoza Quartet tomorrow (August 10).
Ben Pretorius, founder of the Rainbow, remembers that Bheki Khoza last played at the Rainbow in 1987. Included in that CV is musical director for the Sophiatown documentary as well as the feature film Drum. His most recent album came out in 2006 and is titled Getting to Heaven Alive. More information on Khoza can be found at www.bhekikhoza.com
Performing with Khoza will be one of Durban's finest jazz pianists Melvin Peters and making up the rhythm section will be Philani Ngidi on bass and Paki Peloeole on drums.
