BBC Entertainment (channel 120 on DStv) is to flight the 11th series of the excellent detective drama Dalziel and Pascoe. Featuring ten episodes, the series starts on August 17 to run on Mondays and Tuesdays at 20h30.
The blunt-talking, politically incorrect Andy Dalziel (Warren Clarke) and his younger, fast-tracked side-kick, Peter Pascoe (Colin Buchanan), return for another collection of murder cases. In the crime drama’s eleventh series, the duo investigate more difficult cases, including that of a woman whose mummified remains emerge from the water during a cave rescue operation. As their investigation comes under increasing attack, Dalziel and Pascoe find themselves battling harder than ever to learn the truth about a murder that happened over 20 years ago.
The pair also investigates the murder of an up-and-coming jockey at a race-track and find themselves forced to examine the dark underbelly of horse-racing. They find the rural setting of their latest murder inquiry anything but idyllic, as their search for clues takes them deeper into the murky world of the sport.
