Flautist Denis Kirch makes his debut with the KZNPO on September 17.

This season, the KZNPO has an exciting and captivating line up for patrons, once again presenting an impressive range of international and South African artists taking centre stage with an eclectic mix of music.

The concert on September 17 is titled Classical Energy. Flautist Denis Kirch makes his debut with the KZNPO with Reinecke's Flute Concerto in D major, under the baton of Lykele Temmingh. Dvorák's Sixth Symphony, with its soaring lyrical and powerful themes, concludes the programme.

Friends of Music hold pre-concert lectures at 18h15 on concert nights. Entrance is R30 pp and includes light refreshments. The lecturer on September 17 will be Ted Brien.
