DEATH OF MICHAEL GRITTEN SNR

Father of actor Michael Gritten dies in Durban.

Michael Turmeau Gritten (Senior), father of award-winning actor Michael Gritten (currently appearing in Noises Off at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre) has died in Durban.

A well-known singer and chorister and identifiable by his impeccably groomed white hair and moustache, Michael was a proud and avid supporter of his son’s work. With his wife, Ann – an actress in her own right, he was invariably to be seen at opening nights of productions featuring Michael (Jnr).

His funeral will take place on September 3 at 14h00 at the Northdene Methodist Church, Vausedale Road.
