LET’S MISBEHAVE

Misbehaving soirees on September 24 and 27.

Presented by Sue Clarence Promotions, Let’s Misbehave is a multi award-winning music revue devised and performed by Evan Roberts, Anthony Stonier and Carol Trench.

“Misbehaving can be fun - if you’re careful; musical misbehaviour is even more entertaining,” reads the publicity material. “You cannot afford to miss this slick, witty, stylish revue that takes a musical journey through the delights, pitfalls, joys and woes that result from misbehaving …in all its forms!”

Let’s Misbehave has had three sell out seasons in Durban and one in Cape Town. Such was its appeal that it is being revived, despite the fact that Carol now lives in Norway. When it performed in Cape Town in 2002, it was seen repeatedly by a fan who swore he would have it performed for his 50th birthday in 2009! After a break of six years, the show is now back by popular demand in two soirees in September!

All three performers are darlings of the Durban music revue scene and have won numerous awards for their vocal, musical and acting ability, not only for this particular revue but for many others as well. Carol is probably best known for her velvet voice and her stunning performance as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady last year. Anthony is famous for his annual performances in the adult pantomimes which he also writes and directs, as well as for his award-winning revue, Brutal Tunes, also starring Lisa Bobbert. Evan is the musical genius and accomplished musical director behind many of Durban’s best revues and musicals, notably those produced by the stellar theatre company Kickstart – The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella and Little Shop of Horrors, to name but a few.

Musical numbers include Let’s Misbehave, Let’s Do It (with apologies to Cole Porter), Baby It’s Cold Outside, Hard Day Last Night, I Never Do Anything Twice, I Got it from Agnes, I Love a Piano, La Cage Aux Folles and Masochism Tango to name a few.

Let’s Misbehavewill have performances in a private home in Manor Gardens on September 24 and 27 at 1900 for 1930. Tickets R80. Booking essential, the venue is limited to 75 people. Take your own drinks (glasses and ice provided). Bookings and enquiries on clarence@icon.co.za or 082 882 9869
