RED DOOR

Pietermaritzburg Music Club presents Ilan Lax with The Distric Boyz on September 29.

On September 29, the Pietermaritzburg Music Club will present Ilan Lax, the singer-songwriter with a conscience. He will front a performance by The Distric Boyz - Hector, Mark and Graham with Chris Palframann on drums – who will perform some of their favourite originals and well loved songs.

To start the evening off, there’ll be “one of the Midlands' best kept secrets” Abbo Hall. Having played at the first four Splashy Fen festivals with Plagal Cadence, Abbo has appeared several other times over the years with a variety of different groups. Always playing his own self-penned material, he draws on a bluest, folk-rock tradition with elements of reggae, classical and country. His songs explore the need to find one's spirit or they comment on humankind's self-inflicted state of being on the planet.

The Pietermaritzburg Music Club’s home is the Red Door. More details on www.pmbmusicclub.co.za
