BBC Worldwide takes BBC Music content to the big screen for the first time

Thanks to BBC Worldwide Music and Ster-Kinekor Theatres, South African audiences can now enjoy BBC Last Night Of The Proms live on the big screen. Cinema Nouveau have been screening this landmark musical event in HD at its cinemas nationwide; to allow music lovers to experience what is billed as the ‘biggest classical music party in the world’.

This is a landmark venture for BBC Music content, presenting one of Britain’s most iconic live music events on the big screen in High Definition-quality and digital surround sound. BBC Last Night Of The Proms is traditionally sold as a music programme to international broadcasters and will this year be shown in over 15 territories around the world including South Africa, Canada, Japan, Germany, Norway and Australia.
