Sculptor and ceramist exhibiting at Pietermaritzburg gallery.
The works of well-known sculptor and ceramist Marjorie Jones are currently on exhibition at the Blue Caterpillar Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg.
Marjorie Jones is a dynamic artist who has been creating for many years now. She studied at the Durban Institute of Technology and completed her Teachers Diploma in Art, majoring in sculpture and ceramics. Her free spirit is displayed through her artworks. She works in a variety of mediums from wood and ceramic sculpture to oil on canvas and monoprints. Marjorie is bold in her approach to art, and yet there is a feminine quality to her figures and faces created. This exhibition will showcase Marjorie's versatility to art and will include her signature flare to abstractness.
The Marjorie Jones exhibition continues until December 18. The Blue Caterpillar gallery is situated at the Butterflies for Africa complex in Pietermaritzburg. Gallery hours are Tuesday to Friday from 09h00 to 16h30, Saturdays 09h30 to 15h30 and Sundays 10h30 to 15h30.
