Tashmeve Panday, 23 year-old Durban model and up-and-coming actress of Umhlanga Ridge, recently worked on the Hollywood project titled Florida Road shot in Durban recently.
It tells the story of Shaan (played by Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel), whose dream is to write a Hollywood screenplay. Shaan immigrates to Durban from Mumbai with his parents and two brothers in search of a better life. The movie is a heartfelt story about love, culture, family values and following your dreams at the cost of a strained relationship with his father Raj, played by Indian actor Vipin Sharma who starred in the Oscar-nominated hit Taare Zameen Par.
Tashmeve Panday plays Amrita Shekhar, the youngest daughter-in-law of Raj and Kiraan Shekhar (Smita Jaykar of Devdas). She is married to Manish, the youngest of their three sons, who is played by Waseem Shaikh (Ex-Mr India SA and SA serial Bay of Plenty').
She also appeared in the North Hindi movie Deewana Pan with Arjun Rampal and Diya Mirza as well as Broken Promises 2 and For Better Or For Worse directed by Naresh Veeran.
Besides her extensive modelling experience, she holds a qualification in the field of Theatre and Performance specializing in Acting and is graduating with a law degree (LLB). She is also the co-owner of Designer Emporium, an Eastern Designer Boutique and director of Mocha Management Talent Agency and the Events company Urban Xpressions.
