New show at the Barnyard at Gateway pays tribute to The Beatles and the Sixties.
All You Need Is Love, the new production for the Barnyard Theatre at Gateway, pays tribute to The Beatles and the Sixties, in a show that features the music from a decade that changed the world.
The song, All You Need Is Love, was performed by The Beatles on June 25, 1967, on Our World, the first live global television link broadcast via satellite and viewed by 400 million people in 26 countries at the height of the Vietnam War.
Nearly four decades after their break-up, The Beatles' influence on popular culture was - and remains - immense. All You Need Is Love features a strong musical cast promising to take audiences on a unique musical journey from Beatlemania to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Also featured in this tribute to the Fab Four is music off the solo albums by John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Wings, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The British Music invasion also forms part of the show with hits from The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Hollies and many more, all of which adds to this party that pays tribute to the greatest music of our time!
The Sixties, and The Beatles in particular, left an indelible mark on the world of music and Barnyard patrons are invited to take a trip down memory lane with this show. So, flower children and would-be hippies, answer the call to dress up for this foot-stomping production! What better time to embrace free love than during the FIFA World Cup, so come and party with fellow nations at The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway?
