Friends of Music will host a piano recital on June 8 by Chun Wang who has been awarded many national and international prizes, including 1st prize at the Villa-Lobos International Piano Competition in Brazil.His programme will include Bach’s Toccata in D Major, BWV 912; Schumann’s Fantasia in C Op.17; Chopin’s Piano Sonata No.2 Op .35 and Stravinsky’s Trois movements de Petrouchka.
The Chun Wang recital will take place at the Durban Jewish Centre, 44 Old Fort Road, Durban, on June 8 at 19h45. Tickets R70 (R60 members and R20 students/orchestral members). The Prelude Performer will be Caterina Reigl on the recorder accompanied by A Mills. Booking is at Computicket. The venue has safe parking.
