Dingalings present evergreen fairy tale at Catalina Theatre from June 15.

For the family holidays, Dingaling Productions will present the evergreen fairy tale of a scullery–maid who marries her prince after the magical glass slipper fits her slender foot and proves that she’s the bride of his choice. Cinderella continues to enchant children of all ages, who revel in the downfall of the baddies - the ugly sisters and evil stepmother - who get their come-uppance when the fairy godmother comes along and waves her magic wand.

From the producers of Little Red Riding Hood, The Peg Leg Pirate and The Faraway Forest comes this delightful hour-long enchanting tale of Cinderella, adapted and directed by Henry Ramkissoon.

Cinderella promises to keep young and old alike enthralled with the antics of the two ugly step sisters played by comics Koobeshen Naidoo and Henry Ramkissoon. Katinga Busarello plays Cinderella with Kumseela Naidoo as the fairy godmother and Nirvana Naidoo (best supporting actress nominee for Granny in Little Red Riding Hood) as the evil stepmother. The page-boys are Yuvaan Naidoo, who is currently at DHS and last seen in Thunsil and Lahnee’s Pleasure and newcomer Nikhil Ramkissoon currently at the Sai School in Chatsworth.

The play is highly interactive, filled with song and dance and takes the children on a magical journey through the happenings at Mansfield Cottage through to Prince Rinaldo's Castle. Children who come dressed in costume to attend the Prince’s Ball will also be part of the magic of the ballroom scene. This enchanting fairy tale then culminates with a boat ride around the harbour. This promises to be the best value for money entertainment parents can offer this holiday.

Cinderella runs at 11h00 daily from June 15 to July 9 at the Catalina Theatre in Wilson’s Wharf and the running time is 50 minutes. Tickets R55 with boat ride around the harbour (R40 show only). To book call Thandeka on 031 305 6889 or email tsibisi@mweb.co.za or online at www.strictlytickets.co.za / 073 725 7381or at www.catalinatheatre.co.za or at www.goingplacesSA.co.za / www.goingplacesSA.com

(In the evenings, the Dingalings are also presenting their highly successful “The Boolulu Uncle” featuring Senzo Mthethwa, which runs from June 18 to July 18)
