Countdown for scholarship registration

The closing date for registrations for the ACT | DALRO | Nedbank Performing Arts Scholarships is June 14 2010.

Grade 12 learners and undergraduates younger than 25 years of age, who are not considered to be professional, are invited to register for participation in the ACT Performing Arts Scholarship

To qualify, candidates will compete in a national competition where they will be assessed on their acting, dancing and singing potential. Participants are required to demonstrate competence in all three disciplines with exceptional talent in at least one. Scholarship winners will be at liberty to select their preferred performing arts course at any accredited South African tertiary institution.

The regional rounds will be hosted as follows: Durban (July 9 and 10); Cape Town (July 16 and 17); Johannesburg (July 23 and 24); Grahamstown (July 4 to 6)

The closing date for registrations is Monday, June 14 2010. Winners will be selected at the final round of the competition which will be hosted at the Globe Theatre at Gold Reef City on September 28 2010.
