LLEWELLYN DAVIES & JACQUES DU PLESSIS

Beautiful bronzes and traditional paintings can be seen at the Crouse Art gallery in an exhibition featuring works by Llewellyn Davies and Jacques Du Plessis.

This exhibition features a legend of our time a creator and master of the most realistic and passion filled sculptures which have made their statement in many an environment all over the world. The Llewellyn Davies Bronzes will be featured alongside a rising star in the art world, relatively new and young Jacques Du Plessis - a legend in the making.

Owen Llewellyn Davies is a sculptor mostly working in bronzes – both large format for the corporate market and the more intimate pieces for domestic collectors. For the past few years his focus has been working internationally on major commissions. Known for capturing magical moments of motion, of particular delight are pieces involving children at play, a dog mid-leap, and a variety of works of animals.

Jacques du Plessis worked under the influence of Christiaan Nice. He learned about painting and preparing paintings, and has chosen an authentic, traditional approach to his work. He paints in the impressionist styled favouring seascapes landscapes and village scenes. These interesting old world paintings with a splash of colour create an unusual visual pleasure for all.
