“Arizona Dream” and “Shooting Elizabeth” in movies slot.

The MNet Stars (Channel 105) will screen Arizona Dream and Shooting Elizabeth

Arizona Dream will be screened on August 8 at 20h00 in the Sunday night movie slot. Axel is a New York fish and game warden who dreams of fish. He returns to his home town to attend his salesman uncle’s wedding, and is invited to stay on and sell Cadillacs. Axel finds that he is no good at selling cars. One day he meets Elaine and Grace, an eccentric mother and daughter duo who invite him to their ranch. As Axel gets to know them, he discovers kindred spirits whose interests include flying, accordion playing and reincarnation. Starring Johnny Depp and Faye Dunaway and directed by Emir Kusturica in 1993.

Shooting Elizabeth on August 9 at 19h30 is about a henpecked husband who becomes a murder suspect when his wife, whom he wanted to kill, disappears while on holiday. They say having a nagging wife is like being in prison. Well, Harold’s had enough of Elizabeth’s nagging, and he’s going to break free. He’s going to kill her. But doing the dirty deed is not so easy. A practice shot in the pillow later, Harold realises it’s just not in him to kill anyone, and throws the gun away. But just then, Elizabeth disappears, and soon Harold’s a murder suspect. He’ll have to find the nag bag or spend the rest of his life in a real prison! The movie was directed by Baz Taylor in 1992 and stars Jeff Goldblum, Mimi Rogers and Burt Kwouk.
