There is a new exhibition at The Alliance Française in Morningside titled Reunion Chronique, a photography and video exhibition featuring the works of François-Louis Athenas, Raymond Barthes, Thierry Fontaine, Yo-Yo Gonthier, Line Leclerc, Edgar Marsy, René Paul Savignan and Laurent Zitte.
This exhibition of Reunion Island is by local photographers and the works selected are a sort of chronicle of the island, revealing its history, society and scenery, among others. It is a “portrait” of the island through an image-focused approach; either documentary or conceptual, stills or video.
The exhibition also celebrates the arrival of Alliance Française de Durban’s new director, Sarah Doignon.
Reunion Chronique runs until October 28. Alliance Française de Durban is situated at 22 Sutton Crescent (off Windermere Road) in Morningside. For more information contact 031 312 9582 or fax 031 312 2864 or email: durban@alliance.org.za
