On October 19, the Maritzburg Musicians Club will host critically-acclaimed pianist and vocal artist Shannon Hope. Since her debut solo release in 2009, she has been tugging on South African heart strings with her intriguingly powerful heart songs. With a furious countrywide touring schedule, she has earned a reputation as one of the hardest-touring, self-managed solo artists on the national circuit, delivering an intensely honest personal commentary in a vocal epic that has mesmerised audiences countrywide

Performing alongside Shannon Hope will be the extraordinarily talented young Luke Wyngaard. Son of a local musician now resettled in Pietermaritzburg, Luke is a Maritzburg College pupil and has performed with the Splayed Ferrets, Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters and many more. His exceptional guitar wizardry and musicianship foertells a future icon in the music industry.

The performance takes place on October 19 at 20h00 at the Red Door. Tickets R20. The Red Door is in Quarry Rd, off Victoria Road, in Pietermaritzburg. Car guards on duty. More information from Roger O’Neill on 083 230 6562
