Back at Suncoast by overwhelming public demand, comedy fanatics have one last chance this festive season to catch the final season at The Zone, at Suncoast Casino and Entertainment between December 15 to 19.
The powerhouse trio, Jailoshini Naidoo (aka razor-tongued Rumba), Eubulus Tracy (aka mistress of disguise Asiya) and Sans Moonsamy (aka inebriated Judge Innocent Shabalala), are once again gearing up to create an adrenalin rush second to none, non-stop, delicious comedy buffet.
The show, which has toured nationally, is a proven hit with audiences. It is a fast-paced, rollicking comedy that comprises delectable stand-up routines intercepted by tantalizing comic sketches, with over-the-top caricatures ensuring that you Curry on Laughing! The artists draw from their personal life experiences with people in different places and contexts. The comedic collective has been working in the performing arts industry for more than a decade and is renowned for their witty brand of humour that offers comment on pertinent social issues.
Curry on Laughing premiered at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in August 2008 and played to capacity all over South Africa including Suncoast Casino in April this year due to the content being witty and intelligent, the style - sharp and savvy and the presentation - superbly clever. The production has a broad audience appeal in terms of content, style and calibre while maintaining a distinctly Indian flavour. “Come laugh as much as you can with this side-splitting, thought-provoking, what-you-think-but-can’t-say-out-loud humour,” say the promoters. “Guaranteed fun for the extended family!”
