Comedy fanatics have one last chance this festive season to catch the Curry on Laughing trio at the SUNZone at Sun Coast Casino. The show has toured nationally and returns home for a final season.
The powerhouse trio of comedians Jailoshini Naidoo (razor-tongued Rumba), Eubulus Tracy (mistress of disguise Asiya) and Sans Moonsamy (inebriated Judge Innocent Shabalala) are once again gearing up to create an adrenalin rush second to none with their non-stop, delicious comedy buffet.
A proven hit with audiences, this fast-paced, rollicking comedy comprises delectable stand-up routines intercepted by tantalizing comic sketches with over-the-top caricatures promising audiences that they will Curry on Laughing!
The artists draw from their personal life experiences with people in different places and contexts. All material is tastefully presented by professional actors who perform slick sequences. The trio has been working in the performing arts industry for more than a decade and they are renowned for their witty brand of humour that offers comment on pertinent social issues.
Curry on Laughing premiered at The Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City in August 2008 and played to capacity houses all over South Africa including a repeat run at Sun Coast Casino in April this year due to the content being witty and intelligent, the style - sharp and savvy and the presentation - superbly clever. The production has a broad audience appeal in terms of content, style and calibre while maintaining a distinctly Indian flavour.
Curry on Laughing runs at SUNCOAST ‘The Zone’ from December 15 to 19 with an Age restriction: PG 16. The show’s duration is 90 minutes.
