MANGO GROOVE AT DBG

Mango Groove will bring a burst of energy to Durban Botanic Gardens on February 14 as the Old Mutual Music by the Lake concert celebrates Valentine’s Day in the romantic setting. This concert is supported by East Coast Radio.

Share a picnic under the stars with someone special while enjoying the rich legacy of South African urban music with a mix of Kwela/Marabi Pop, SA Pop, Big Band Swing Pop, Eclecto-Pop. Mango Groove boasts a line-up of highly talented musicians and lead singer, Claire Johnston, adds to the happy vibe with her high energy and fun. The band is enjoying great success around South Africa which makes them an ideal choice for this venue, well known for its popular outdoor concerts.

Thomas Krane will open the concert at 19h00. He began his career in Amanzimtoti as a solo artist and now there are five band members. He has developed his unique brand of pretty acoustic guitar, curious lyrics in multiple harmony in the pop/folk genre.
