Alliance Française will be hosting a Hip Hop event called D’urban Street Art gathering graffiti artists, MC , Beat boxing, Krump and Break dancing.
The performance will take place on March 19 from 14h30 to 18h00
There will be ten or more artists battling for one prize. The winners will be decided by a crowd vote. The event will be MC’d by artist Blackmoss. Born and raised Phakamisa Blessing Majola on April 5, 1986, in Kwa Mashu Township Durban, The Black Master of Spontaneous Sentences is a young dynamic hip hop Artist making a lot of noise in his hometown and around the country. His family’s move to Glen Anil in late 1996 proved to be the birth of his creative being as he was able to compare and contrast suburban living with that of his former home.
It was only in late 2005 during his study in Marketing and Management at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Howard that Blackmoss decided to pursue a career as a Hip Hop artist. With a growing reputation for his freestyle ability and being spontaneous with lyrics he dubbed himself the Master of Spontaneous Sentences. His breakthrough in the Durban scene was his debut track, M.O.S.S on the Life check sessions volume one.
Black Moss music can be described as a fresh reflection of many influences which aims to create a conscious awareness of contemporary issues affecting today’s society.
