On April 20, the Centre for Jazz & Popular Music, UKZN, presents jazz vocalist Bobby Minter.
Bobby Minter was named by one of the legends of Jazz and she was asked to sing at the Bat Centre on Heritage Day last year, as well as Simon Kerdachi in the Six decades of music in SA Jazz, Blues & Swings. She is invited by her son Gavin Minter to sing in Cape Town every year and at the end of April she will performing there at the Green Dolphin on the Waterfront and the Winchester Hotel in Sea Point.
The UKZN’s concert will feature Bobby Minter on vocals with Simon Kerdachi (piano), Jill Murraybrown (bass) and Sharon Salt (drums).
The performance at the Centre for Jazz & Popular Music starts at 17h30 (doors opens at 17h00). Tickets R30 (R10 students R10) and there is a cash bar.
