KZN MUSIC IMBIZO 2011

KZN Music Imbizo returns to Durban from August 25 to 27, 2011. The annual music conference and exhibition will be hosted over the three days from 09h00 to 16h00 daily at the Royal Hotel in Durban. The theme for KZN Music Imbizo 2011 is “Year of the Fan” and it will place special emphasis on the accessibility of music over different platforms for the fans, the live experience and merchandising.

KZN Music Imbizo is KwaZulu-Natal’s premier music business conference and exhibition with a range of events that compliment it. The Imbizo is an attempt to collect all industry stakeholders under one roof to breathe life into the KZN music Industry. It is a platform to exhibit, network, share expertise and knowledge over three days whilst looking at ways to improve the KZN music industry as a business.

The Imbizo is divided into five parts: Exhibition; Sound Equipment Demo Sessions; Panel Discussions; Live Events, and Music Producer’s Forum

The KZN Music Imbizo 2011 formal proceedings will be set in motion with a gala dinner on August 25. The dinner will be a chance for the ‘who is who’ in the KZN music industry to get acquainted and talk the music business. There will also be a closing concert on August 27. The concert will be a mix of young and old, featuring collaborations between diverse genres.

KZN Music Imbizo offers all stakeholders the chance to meet other industry experts, discuss hot new topics and exchange information and views, in a friendly and professional environment. It is also the place where business relationships are initiated, developed and maintained.
