NATIONAL CALL TO ASPIRING PLAYWRIGHTS

The State Theatre is calling out for aspiring/inspired writers to submit their scripts of new and original plays.

Along with their scripts, aspiring playwrights are required to submit their presentation in a form of: a synopsis, character breakdown and conceptual treatment of the world of their play. Selected writers will be given an opportunity to develop their scripts with the assistance of Dramaturges as well an opportunity to stage their works between the years, 2012 and 2014.

Application forms be accessed from the SA State Theatre’s website (www.statetheatre.co.za) or collected from The State Theatre, 320 Pretorius Street, Pretoria.

Submission deadline for the scripts is July 29, 2011.
