June is Comedy Month at the Rhumbelow Theatre with award-winning actor, comedian and voice artist, raconteur extraordinaire Frank Graham. Active in professional show business for 40 years, Frank Graham will be performing from June 10 to12.
Frank Graham played Russian spies, American politicians, Cornish sailors, Welsh miners, Free State farmers, Indian fruit vendors, Coloured fishermen, Australian reps, Chinese launderers and many, many others on Springbok Radio, particularly in comedy. His voice-box bristles with voices and accents which had, and have, people's minds happily drawing their own pictures. Remember Able Seaman Johnston? Percy Snodgrass? They're all there ...
“Come and spend an evening with Frank Graham as he gently explores the foibles and funniness of the folk who people our world: the Irish, the Welsh, the Cornishmen, the Scots, Londoners, South Africans of all hues and persuasions - and the rest,” invites Rhumbelow Theatre. “Your funnybones will be tickled and you'll leave with your souls refreshed and exhilarated.”
Shows take place on June 10 and 11 at 20h00 and June 12 at 14h00. The venue opens 90 minutes before show for picnic dinner. Tickets R100. Take along food picnic baskets and braais will be available.
