June 24 at 19h30: Nibs der Spuy and Guy Buttery. Alliance Française proudly hosts another in its series of DBN♥MOI concerts, an international music platform in KZN. Guy Buttery and Nibs van der Spuy will present an evening of fine acoustic guitar and will showcase their brand new duo show after a five year break due to their rigorous individual touring schedules. Anyone who’s ever witnessed a ‘Guy and Nibs’ performance will remember a tight synergy of fluid and interwoven musical tapestry. The virtuosos collaborated on a series of shows in the early and mid 2000’s before their respective careers took off both locally and internationally. In June 2010, both Guy and Nibs were invited to play at the Rio Loco Festival in Toulouse, France and thus the intention for a new combined act re-emerged. Tickets R100 (R50 members of Alliance Française). Booking recommended on 031 312 9582.
The Alliance Française de Durban is situated at 22 Sutton Crescent, Morningside, Durban. More information on 031 312 9582 or visit www.alliance.org.za
