SEMINAR: WHAT THEY SAID

The KZNSA Gallery is hosting a cultural arts seminar organised by Luyanda Zindela and DK Maponya, third year Fine Art students at the Durban University of Technology. (DUT). Titled What They Said, it takes place on June 21 and features Luyanda Zindela, DK Maponya, Themba Shibase, Doung Jahangeer.

“We live in an age where everything is manufactured or mass produced, supposedly for our own convenience in this technological age where manufacturing and advertising dominates everything,” states the press material. “Presentations by two creative and critical thinkers, Themba Shibase and Doung Jahangeer, will lead the discussion as we explore this notion of the mass production of culture, and the industry of culture production.”

What They Said takes place at 18h00 on June 21. No charge, all welcome. Drinks and a light finger supper will be served. The KZNSA Gallery is situated at 166 Bulwer Road, Glenwood, in Durban. More information on 031 277 1703, fax 031 201 8051 or cell 082 220 0368 or visit www.kznsagallery.co.za
