4 JACKS AND A JILL

The name 4 Jacks and a Jill is instantly synonymous with some of the greatest hits of the 1960’s and 70’s. Songs like Master Jack, Timothy, Ramaja, Jimmy Come Lately and a long list of others transport listeners back to an era of true musical genius. Audiences can relive the magic of a platinum era at the Heritage Theatre, for this one week only!

Despite living largely out of the public eye for some time, 4 Jacks and a Jill have sold more than a 1.4 million CD’s in the last seven years. The group originally formed in 1965, but they were topping the charts world wide by 1968 and even voted the third most popular group in Malaysia at that time – quite an achievement if you consider that The Beatles were number one, The Monkees number two and The Rolling Stones came in at number four.

In a recent survey by the Sunday Times, the public voted Master Jack the most popular South African song of all time!

They’ve recorded 34 albums - 26 of them achieving Gold status - and received eight platinum awards – a fitting tribute to their unwavering dedication to musical excellence. As demand for their music has remained high due to tremendous album sales, the group has decided to end its hiatus and return to the stage with all their old magic. A new album, Reflections, showcases 20 of their greatest hits, including an updated version of Master Jack.

The show runs until July 17. Tickets R190 Wednesday to Saturday (R165 Tuesday dinner and Sunday lunch) include a two course meal. Early booking is advised on 031 765 4197 or online at www.heritagetheatre.co.za
