Currently on at the Collective is an exhibition of photography by Allister Charles Christie.
Christie became a photographer to capture the subtle nuances that people overlook when it comes to a person's nature, however dark or off-putting it is at first. There have always been images that Christie has wanted to see materialize and that is what inspired him to get to work. His aim at showing images that would make some uncomfortable. Although not everyone will enjoy his work, he takes pride in the impact that will occur in the few. He likes to deviate from conventionality and invoke fascination.
The Collective is situated at 48b Florida Road, Durban. More information on 031 303 4891 or visit www.thecollective-durban.com
